Recreational Freediver

This 2 day course is about the fun of freediving!

Not quite sure that you are interested in qualifications? Don’t like the idea of having to achieve a certain depth?  Perhaps you are already qualified but just want a bit of a refresher? Then this is the course for you…

A two day course where you will learn to freedive in the clear waters of Cornwall but without the stress of exams and without the stress of having to hit certain performance requirements.

We will take you to one of our many suitable freediving sites to dive in open water, always near the coastline and always in very safe conditions. We know lots of locations which really show off the beauty of the Cornish coastline (some of which are very secret… so keep them to yourselves or we may get in trouble!).

On this course you will learn.

  • Relaxation for freediving.
  • How to breathe for freediving.
  • Using freediving equipment.
  • Static apnea, Constant weight freediving.
  • Diving technique and style.
  • Equalisation techniques.
  • Safety for freediving.
  • How to spot wildlife as a freediver.
  • Where to freedive and when to freedive

Its a great way to get in to, or back in to freediving. No stress, no exams, just freediving! You will love it.

Course price includes a Cornish themed lunch for both days, water, pool fees, launch fees and all equipment. You will also get a FreediveUK certificate which outlines your achievements so you can pass it on to any other freediving school so they can see that although you have not started on the AIDA educational ladder yet…you do know something!

Note: You may be able to upgrade to a certification course during the training. You could add your 1 star for an additional £15  or the 1&2 Star for an additional £50. You will need to make this decision before certain performance requirements are attempted.

Course price £250 pp

Course is normally run alongside the AIDA weekend courses. Weekdays on request.

Please note. Although this is course is taught by an AIDA instructor, it is not an AIDA course.
